Option Care is now Altius Healthcare

Prescott, AZ – President/Pharmacist/CEO Kevin Nestrick of Option Care of Arizona announces a company name change to Altius Healthcare, Infusion Therapy and Specialty Pharmacy.  Altius is a health care pharmacy that provides home and alternate site infusion pharmacy, nursing services and specialty drugs.  They provide compassionate, comprehensive care outside of the hospital setting to patients who have acute and chronic conditions.

Option Care is a franchise name.  The local franchise, Option Care of Arizona, was formed by Nestrick in Prescott in 1990.  Nationally, the Option Care name and franchise was acquired by Walgreens in 2007.  According to Nestrick, the decision to leave the Option Care franchise affiliation was based on being able to preserve local autonomy.  “This allows a more personal one-on-one connection with our patients, while not compromising the unique local touch that comes with being an independent, locally owned and managed health care provider.”

Nestrick states, “Our new Altius name is Latin for higher and we feel this accurately reflects the higher level of service and care we provide throughout Arizona.  Not only will we continue to offer the same level of quality care that we’ve delivered since 1990 under the Option Care name, but our team of professional pharmacists and nurses continue to strive for and demonstrate their expertise by delivering an even higher level of healthcare excellence.”
